Children & Youth: High School

Confirmation Class for Grade 9 (or Older)

Confirmation classes are offered to all in Grade 9 as well as older teens who have never been confirmed and wish to be. Led by the Pastors, this class helps students to explore their faith, gaining insight into the meaning of Church membership.

High School Youth Group for Grades 9 - 12

The High School Youth Group (SHYG) is open to all students in Grades 9 - 12, whether attending the Congregational Church or not. These young people plan activities to help others and to enjoy each others company in a healthy, creative environment. Their activities include “Super Bowl”, where foods and toiletries are collected for a local food pantry. These young people prepared Easter baskets for homeless children and have raised more than $5,000, along with teens from the Baptist Church, to help the Middlesex Transitional Shelter in Lowell. For fellowship, the SHYG has enjoyed such activities as whitewater rafting, the Keene Pumpkin Festival and Pot Luck Suppers.

Working with other churches, the Congregational Church helps provide a Vacation Bible School each summer. Another example of outreach to young people is the Church's 85-year sponsorship of Littleton Boy Scout Troop #1
