In 2009, CCOL parisioners had a very enthusiastic discussion about the book The Shack. People kept talking about how much they got out of talking about that book, about the opportunity to talk about their faith and how we each see God, and how it helped us get to know each other better.

  • Keep watching for the next book!  Information on the next book is in the drop down list on the bottom right navigation — look for “Book Group.”
  • In November we met on Tuesday, November 9, to discuss A People’s History of Christianity: The Other Side of the Story by Diana Butler Bass.
  • In September 2010 we met to discuss Grace Eventually: Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott
  • January 2010, 90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death and Life by Don Piper with Cecil Murphey
  • Fall 2009, The Shack, by William P. Young

Ideally most of us would commit to the group and to attending each time, but the group will be open so people can come whey they can and when they want. Ideally also each of us will have read the book being discussed, but people who haven’t read it but want to know more about it are also welcome.
